As mentioned in another thread, I moved back home to my parents house recently to discover my brother was keeping his Syrian Bigfoot in a mini Duna with no wheel. After many failed attempts to convince them to upgrade, I’ve decided to give him my Alaska cage and trixie wheel after upgrading Sunflower to a 100x50cm bin and wooden wheel.

Whoa! That is a pretty setup! I think I’m going to put poor hay in Libby’s natural cage now!

Thank you! I love using hay in their cages! Just make sure to use soft hay so they don't injure themselves

I use a soft Stemmed Orchard Hay that I find is very soft and no hard parts! What do you use?

I use very soft meadow or timothy hay. I cant remember the brands tho.

That's an amazing set up. I bet bigfoot is very happy in there. I hope they see what a good idea it was and give you some money for the cage!

Looks lovely, I’m sure he appreciates the extra space.

I’m curious as to which 100cm bin you have? I wasn’t aware of any bins with a larger internal floor area than an alaska’s so would be interested to know.

He’s settling into his new home well! He had a lot of fun exploring and playing in his wheel. I also added a sandbath which he enjoys (photos were taken before because I was waiting for the sand to finish drying) Unfortunately my brothers’ decided his wheel is too loud so he’s moved into my room which really doesnt have the space for 5 hamsters! He’s currently blocking my wardrobe so I’m gonna have to do a bit of rearranging haha

I’m using the Really Useful 160litre Trunk, I’ll be making a post about it today :)
