Charming has a poorly ear :(

Charming has a poorly ear (picture below).

He has a vets appointment with an exotic vet (FINALLY, there's one local enough to travel to (but he's off work until Wednesday), so it's a couple of days until I can get Charming seen, it looks like an ear infection, my question is is there anything I can do in the mean time to get him comfortable?

I was contemplating salt watering the gunk / crust off but going no farther because I didn't want to cause him any pain.

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you :) x

Sorry to hear this Gemma, other than cleaning it as much as you can without causing him any distress I don't think there would be much you can do as it looks as though he's going to be needing some antibiotics, maybe someone else will have more experience with this but I don't think you can really do more than you are.

Thank you, he’s off to the vets tomorrow. I’ve been keeping his outer ear as clean as I could, he’s not shown any signs of discomfort (literally sat on my hand happy as ever) and hadn’t flinched or anything, so I’m quite confident in the fact I wasn’t causing any harm.

SO glad tomorrow has finally arrived though, I’ve hated knowing he’s poorly. Will update this when I have him back home from the appointment x
