Location: West Wales / Cambridgeshire / Bath
Kind of hamster(s): Syrian
Hamster age(s): 8 months
Reason they were abandoned? Three hamsters were left at a vets. An employee took them in but two gave birth. They did well to rehome all but 8 which came in to Rhydowen Rodent Refuge. 1 light grey boy is now with Bath Gerbil Rescue and two golden girls are in foster care in Cambridgeshire. The five here at Rhydowen Rodent Refuge are 2 light grey boys, 1 golden girl and 2 golden boys.
Any health problems/special needs? None as yet but we are monitoring them.
Any behavioral problems? They have been kept in tiny hamster cages with little stimulation so do bar chew.

Type of household hamster would best be suited to: Adults or adult children - None bite and all have been well handled. Are good to handled as long as not startled/approached from above.
