Hybrid hissing in his sleep?

One of my Hybrids, Francisco has been making a hissing sound like 'zzzzhhpp' in his sleep. It sounds like when my Winter White would hiss at me (before he was tamed) only higher pitched. He's only doing it when he's sleeping and he's fully tamed so is he having nightmares?? :( :confused:

I wouldn't make much of it, unless he seems in pain. I'd do a good health check. Hope it's nothing tho

It's likely nothing much! Do you have other hamsters? It's possible he is smelling another hamster or something that's agitating him and causing him to hiss. Like CB said, try doing a health check and make sure all is well. Best wishes :)

Some of my hybrids have been quite vocal in their sleep making all sorts of strange noises! I'd say it's nothing to worry about as long as he appears healthy otherwise & nothing else has changed in his behaviour.
