Greetings, everyone!

I am so glad to be a member of such a wonderful group of hamster-loving people around the world. I am so thrilled that we have this special opportunity to bond with people that have the same interests and loves as us. What a terrific resource of knowledge and experience, too!

I am from the U.S. I have one syrian hamster, one guinea pig, and a 10-gallon tank of fresh water fish. They are all more than just pets to me, they are most definitely an integral part of my loving family.

I enjoy doing art projects of all types, playing board games/card games/video games with family and friends, reading books (especially anything of a historical nature), photographing my pets, spending time with loved ones, and watching movies.

I very much look forward to getting to know all of you and your special furry friends.

Thanks for the welcoming words. I am so happy to meet all of you. I do have a few pictures of my 4 1/2 year old female guinea pig named Snickers and my new male long-haired Syrian hamster to share with you. Unfortunately, it is much harder to take pics of my fish. If I can take some pictures of them, I will definitely be sure to share them with you. I have albino cory catfish, emerald cory catfish, green cory catfish, and a red-eye lantern.

These first two photos are of my hamster named Eros (the Greek version of Cupid). If any of you know what the coloring of him is, I would definitely appreciate you letting me know. Thanks!

Eros looks like a lovely girl :) Syrian colours definitely isn't my area (I'm a lot better with dwarf hams!) but I'm going to take a guess at cinnamon banded, I might be totally wrong though & I'm sure someone else will be able to tell you correctly!

Lovely photos! Snickers looks very contented :-) Eros looks sweet and adorable - I'm not good on colourings either but I'm sure someone who is will come along soon! She looks to have one red eye and one black eye - or is that just the light? It looks endearing and a bit special.

Eros is lovely looking, I too wondered if he had different coloured eyes? Snickers looks adorable, his colours look just like a snickers chocolate bar lol (maybe that's why you gave him that name or maybe it was for a different reason, but he suits the name anyway) :)

Thanks everyone for the kind words concerning both of my furry sweethearts and for all your help with the coloring of Eros. I truly do appreciate it!

Eros definitely has a bright pink right eye and a dark red (almost black) left eye. [I believe that someone told me that the left eye color is called ruby if I am not mistaken.] It is not the lighting of the picture that makes his eyes look like that. He looks like that in reality, too.

Snickers is my female guinea pig whom I bought in October 2012 (just a few days prior to Halloween). She acquired her name because she is colored exactly like a Snickers chocolate bar, I have a tendency to give animals "chocolate" terms of endearment names, and that year Snickers was selected as the number one candy for the holiday season. Excellent guess for the reason behind Snickers's name, BorisPasha! You are absolutely correct.

Eros and the piggy are so adorable. I don't know what color he is but I see you have that eco nesting material in Eros cage. I like that nesting material as well
