Art Student Wants to Draw a Few Hams!!

Hey guys! A fellow forum-er recently posted some artwork that inspired me and I'd LOVE to draw someone's hammy! Please send a picture with your request and let me know if you want realism, stylized, or pixelated. I will post the artwork at least by this weekend (although it will be Christmas, I'll try my best).

If this is as fun as I hope, maybe I can try it more often and post more lovely hammy portraits :D

Sweet, thanks! Pippin is so flipping cute and there are so many pictures!! I picked an older one I believe, but I liked all the ones that I saw :D

Haha, my imagination is very colorful today. I drew a more stylistic Pippin this time around (also, this time, very alike to the reference image). It's not perfect but I hope you like it! :-D

Wow that is very different, that Pic you chose is quite an early one of Pip, I have just got a new DSLR Canon 7D makes my old 40D look like a box brownie..!

Also, since "photo-realism" takes such a long time no matter what I'm drawing, I decided to make things a little faster by finishing off with more of a sketchy look. Yeah my natural art style is very bright and almost minimalistic at times. I did choose an early image but I'd like to do a more recent one as well; you have so many great photos of Pippin! Very photogenic little hammy, haha :lol:

I wish I could draw but I can't so I photograph instead, my favorite medium is B&W I loved that when I used to shoot film stock....

I have posted a couple of Pip from tonight's trial session with the new 7D they are a lot more detailed.

It's another very sketchy and slightly stylistic version, but for the most part based off of the photo that I chose. I had to finish quickly so I could get some other things done, but I hope you like your little Inky portrait! :mrgreen:

Ahhh! Sweep is so handsome, haha! I loved his pictures. I was going to sleep but I couldn't resist and drew up a cute little sketch of Sweep before calling it a day. It's very colorful, and definitely more my minimalist/stylistic way of drawing. Hope you like it :-D
