I just recently took in Pheobe, a hamster my grandad found in the grounds of his home. She was at the time very wet, very disorientated and very thin. She's very tame and im handly her every day with ease now. However, I have noticed that although she is very thin, she has a fleshy lump at the back of her neck, not really a lump just a lot of flesh, that my other hamster, Pickles doesnt have. Is this normal?

Perhaps this is just because she is thin, if she was a formally plump hamster she'll have a lot of spare skin.

I agree that it may be due to weight loss. It could also be a cyst or a healed abcess.
If you are worried and it seems to bother her you could take her in to the vets for a check up?
