Hi Everyone,
I'm Katherine and I have a syrian hamster called Oreo. I have always had hamsters as pets but before Oreo I hadn't had a hamster since My last hamster Ladie past away 8 years ago.
My son really wanted a pet, so I thought a hamster would be a great first time pet (I realised afterwards my mistake), also we live in a flat at the moment and unable to really have pets that need to get outside.
My son only likes to watch Oreo in her cage and now keeps asking for a cat.
So Oreo is stuck with me and we are getting on very well.
We've had Oreo for 3 months now. Oreo has a large cage with tubes and toys. I also have a large box bin with toys and sandbath for her to play in.
I also studied animal care at college when I was younger but took a different route in life from looking after animals.
