changing over food?

we want to change our 2 syrian hamsters over to harry hamster food. do we need to do this gradually? if so over how long a period of time?

I would do the change over about two weeks to give the bowel time to adjust to the new diet. Start with adding nearly all old food with just a teaspoon of new and gradually increase the new until you have changed over fully.
