Chomp has just today started urinating blood, not just a little bit either, it seems to be that all that comes out of him is blood, he's active, eating normally, and seems okay.
Obviously knowing that he shouldn't be urinating blood I cannot help but feel very worried.
Should I take him to the vets or does this mean that he's just on his way out so soon?
It'd be a shame for me to have to see him pass away at such a young age.
Although he's had problems since the start he's by far one of the best little fellas I have ever owned.
If anyone has had similar problems what is there I can do? What will the vet most likely say or if it comes to it, will he really have to be put to sleep?
Just to note I moved him to his new cage yesterday evening and he settled in very well, didn't seem scared or stressed and enjoyed being active and exploring..
What is there that I can do for now?
Thanks in advance ):

Poor Chomp. It seems odd that he still seems to act so well if he is losing blood doesn't it? He hasn't had anything with red dye in it has he that could look like blood? Beetroot, strawberry and some pink biscuits can dye the urine.
I really don't know what to suggest other than seeing the vet again. Maybe he could run some urine tests for bacteria?
I hope he keeps up nice and chirpy for you and gets better soon

Took chomp to the vets today, he said he most likely had a bacterial infection and after picking him up and having a feel he said his lower tummy seemed a little tender and it could be causing him a fair bit of pain.
He gave us some baytril that was differently concentrated to what he had previously and also gave him a sweet tasting medicine that's made for dogs to give him (I could tell you the name but my boyfriend is looking after him whilst i'm on holiday)
Hopefully with this he'll get better soon!
also he was weighed again today, he's still only 92g but is far better than the 40g he was a month ago.
Also he seems to have settled well into his new cage, Hamster Heaven.
