Hurricane Glowy

Has blown in! He's now 8 weeks old, 123g and has enough mischief in him for ten hamsters! I had to do an emergency cage update the other day because of his antics. He likes to climb up everything, including on top of his Sputnik and along the bendy tube, and he kept falling off so I put in a grass mat to cushion his fall.

He is a very friendly and sociable hamster who was incredibly easy to tame, I think it took about ten minutes lol! He has graduates to being allowed to free range in the hallway now, and I'm sure it won't be long before he will be allowed to have the run of the place like Nibble.

His current mission is trying to open the cage doors because he LOVES to come out and play with us.

Bless him, look what he does every time he's having his hallway playtime - he was climbing up exploring and obviously thought he'd found the way out as he was squeaking so excitedly then plonked straight into this bag! It's not far to jump but he can't get out without my help. He does it every time now, it's become his "safe place". Silly hamster!

Bertie - I found this photo of how to attach a wobust wheel to the cage using the side bars instead of the top ones if you're interested (I believe you were saying the stand didn't clear the roof door on the Barney possibly). If you scroll down this page there's a photo.
