Hello!
I am new here and not sure if I'm doing this right.
I just got home and noticed my hamsters eye was watery. It isn't sticky or crusty.
We have been staying in a different place and there are other pets around. Could it be an allergy or could she have gotten something in her eye?
Just want to make sure it's not something I should worry too much about.
It doesn't seem to be bothering her too much either.
Thanks!

Hi can you get a picture? Is it red? If it doesn't look irritated I wouldn't worry too much but monitor it. I am not a vet however so make no claims to expertise. If it gets worse have a plan. Xx

She is okay now.
I have a tendency to worry more than I should.
Thanks for the feedback!

Hi. Is it just the one eye watering? This can indicate something in the eye or she has managed to irritate it. The eye will react producing tears to lubricate the eye if it`s irritated. It will need watching and possibly gently bather by boiled, cooled water and a cotton pad if it becomes sticky. See a vet if it worsens as it may become infected and require drops or an ophthalmic cream. What substrate do you use and you say you stay in a different place? Meaning? x
