Barnabys weight

I've just weighed, Barnaby, and he is 12 lbs (168 grams) - is that a good weight? Would you say he was a small, medium or big hamster?

To be honest if its a good weight or not will depend on him, different hamsters are naturally different sizes and different weights. From the weight and the pic I'm guessing he's a syrian and you really can't guess at a healthy average syrian weight, some are healthy at 120g while others are healthy at 250g. Using two of my adult male syrians as an example, what'd be a healthy weight for Monkling would be really underweight for Rusty.

If Barnaby's body doesn't seem overly skinny or overly chubby then he's probably at a fine weight :)
