Markings on a Hamster

Hello,

All hamsters have a different markings on their body, for example my Oreo has this:

I think it is quite interesting to see all the different types you can get! some hamsters don't have any and some do, that is what makes our hamsters unique! :)

Here's Charlie, he got very similar Markings to your Oreo.
The particular colour is Called Sable Banding I believe :)

LOL it is because of markings I found I had lost a different Black Band male to Hibernation last winter then I had thought. A Band pattern is almost like a finger print as no two are ever exactly alike and that distinct pattern is there from pigment coming in tothe day they pass on to the bridge.

I just got a beautiful Satin SH Black Band girl and her band from above her back looks like angel wings LOL. Once she settles in better I will introduce her to all of you.
