Funny things hamsters do

I wish I had a camera rolling for this one - the other day (daytime) Biscuit woke and realised a lot of food had dropped into the tube leading to his penthouse (Hamster Heaven - he sleeps up there). Imagine the scene... hamster goes down the tube to the mid point, stops, grabs food, reverses while stuffing more food that he just reversed over, and proceeds to reverse right back up into the penthouse, bum first!

:)))) Oh lord. Mine apparently is a an extreme sports fan. She climbs on the cage behind the wheel, sits on the wheel for a bit, walks a few seconds, and then stops to go down with the wheel turning right in her sand bath..

Yummy recently dragged her giant tooth brush in to her bed with her. One time she got spooked after I put her back in to her cage she fled up her tunnel, and since I hadn't put the top cage back yet she shot out the tunnel top and flailed in the air. Then she ran up the tunnel again, I was laughing so much cos she looked funny flailing.

Cc used to do the exact same thing ham888! She was too chunky to turn around in her tubes so I got to see a lot of reversing lol

If I made a noise and surprised her (God forbid) she would dart out of her nest into her tube and sometimes fall back to sleep before making it back to bed. A few little taps on the tube and she would rouse herself and reverse shuffle back into her nest :)

I used to find it really funny when Meat, in his younger years would try to drag his egg box to bed with him. He'd pull the whole piece to the door with his teeth to his house but inevitably it wouldn't fit and he'd be there yanking at it in the hope that it would fit.

Sometimes he'd hop out of the window of the house and try to push it in with his nose. He'd usually run off to have another think about it at this point but on one occasion he actually managed to knock this piece of egg box on to the roof of his house.

It's a shame I never got any videos of him doing this as it was quite funny to watch.

When Baklava gets a new Whimzee chew, she first of all tries to pouch it. But of course it's far too big and never works.
So she just carries it about with her teeth...including into her Wodent wheel, which is obviously the best place to hoard food.
Though the Whimzee doesn't always fit through the Wodent's entrance holes, and Baklava keeps trying and trying, like a dog with a large stick going through a doorway.
Then once she enters the wheel with Whimzee in tow, said Whimzee hits the side of every hole as the wheel turns. CLUNK. CLUNK. CLUNK
