Reactions to Meat's Name

This is a bit of a random post but I thought it was worth sharing here anyway.

My little old Chinese boy has an unusual name or so I've been told. Today I phoned the vets to get him an appointment and the receptionist brought my details up and asked what his name was. When I answered she said that was looking for a hamster-y name on the file and wasn't expecting to be told that his name was Meat.

All of my hamsters are named after musicians but there's something a bit ironic about Meat's name, particularly as he's so tiny.

I used to get that a lot with my first syrian who was called Deadman (he was jet black and named after The Undertaker from WWE). Any time he was seen by the vet, I would get asked if they had his name listed correctly :mrgreen:

Ha ha! Well I guess it does seem a strange name for a tiny hamster...hope he gets on OK at the vet x

I have to admit I love the name Meat for a hamster, there's just something about it... Like the little guy has to have an awesome personality to fit the name :)
I hope everything goes well at the vets too.
