Chewing Bars Sore Nose - Help !

Hi Everyone,

My hamster has a Rosewood Pico Cage at the moment but the wheel is far too small for her as she is a large hamster. I am really worried as she constantly chews at the bars and has made a sore on her nose and there is a big patch of fur missing on her nose does anyone know why she is doing this ?

I am currently looking in to another cage so we can have a savic rolly large wheel

She is just bored. Once you have upgraded her cage and wheel I'm sure you will have a happier hammy. Have a look in the housing section for inspiration for a new cage set up. For now maybe just ensure she gets plenty of out time.
