I have had my Syrian hamster site August 2014 and he is lovely and friendly.
But he has nipped my mum a few times including one this morning.

Any Advice!?

it could be that he doesn't recognise your mums scent, he could be feeling unwell, or tired, or sometimes they just nip if they are feeling scared or unwell.

make sure that he isn't showing any signs of illness. Hopefully he wont do it again!

Sometimes if they don't recognise a smell or sound of voice they can bite because they're scared/nervous.
Your mum will have to get to know him, the way you did.

Thing is she is very social with him its my dad that is the least social out of us. But anyway thinking about what you said he was probably tired. But thanks so much for your help I had not thought of that.
Thank you since you replied he has not nipped her again so yeh.
