Syrian hamster licking everything?

As some of you may know, I've just adopted a Syrian named Sora. In the pet store she was licking the walls and floors of her cage, I've just been watching her and she's doing the same now, digging all the substrate and licking the bottom of the cage, does anyone know why?? :confused:

She could just be having a taste? :p

Sounds like she may be doing a bit of scenting. I wouldn't worry about it. Quite a few hamsters in new surroundings might have a little taste of things.

She's just marking her new home and if that means licking the whole cage and everything in it she'll damn sure do it lol. She's a smart syrian ham!
