View Full Version : 5 syrian hamsters needing new homes (West Midlands)

12-12-2008, 04:36 PM
Location: West midlands
Kind of hamster(s): syrian
Hamster age(s): varying between 6-18 months
Reason they were abandoned? removed from a house by the RSPCA, all hamsters were kept in extremely small, dirty cages with no bedding or toys.
Any health problems/special needs? no
Any behavioral problems? all of the hamsters wre terrified on arrival however they are coming round slowly, they are still nervous and all but one are handleable.

Type of household hamster would best be suited to: all of the hamsters are used to other pets, and will hapily come out to our dogs. 4 of the hamsters would be better suited to homes with older or no children and 1 who is very hapy to be handled would be ok with children.
