Valspor paint?

I popped to B&Q to pick up some plasticote for a wooden house for bolt, but they've stopped selling it! The guy explained that they have brought into a new company called valspar where by they can make any colour paint you want etc etc.

I explained what it was for and he gave me a pot of the valspar water soluble paint for £2 something (it's a massive pot!) but I wanted to check it's ok to use first. He explained that its non-toxic and water based?

As long as its non-toxic and waterproof when dry it should be fine :)
