Hi everyone:)
I have a tri coloured Syrian hamster called Bella who is 3 months old. When I got her a month a go she was using a rubbish wheel which came with her cage, which she could barely move. Yesterday I gave her a new wheel which is much better for her and she runs so fast on it! But tonight shes been doing something which has been worrying me, she runs on the wheel for 2-5 minutes none stop then she would get off it and she lay on the floor like she's collapsed, I read that it could be heart problems or is it because she tires easily because shes young and not used to that amount of exercise?
When I go over and talk to her when shes 'collapsed' she gets up and looks at me normally and responds, shes eating fine and is very alert. Does anyone else's hamster do this?
