I hope none of you are offended by this, I know many thinks its gross, but I have to ask, do hamsters poot?
I'm almost positive Rigby let one a moment ago, and it does not smell pleasant!
If he did not poot, I have no idea what that tiny toot noise was, or why this horrible smell entered my nostrils!
He seems mighty pleased with himself....which is suspicious! 8)

I can not say I have ever heard or smelt anything! But I am guessing they must do? :p

I know they don't burp, or vomit, but are poots out of the question?

Brownie makes this noise that sounds like an a sneeze and then a horrible smell appears! So yes I think they must do! :)

Does this mean I own magical 'non-pooting hamters'?

I'm assuming a poot is a bottom burp (trying to put it as nicely as possible in case there are little eyes reading!)

I've never heard of a poot before!!

But no, I can't say my hamster does it haha!

I have never heard that expression before but I would think that as hamsters are primarily vegetarian and they have plenty bowel bacteria that gases must be produces and expelled as wind. If your hamster constantly makes bad smells though it could indicate a bowel infection or a diet that does not agree with them.

Well there you heard it from Souffle, it could be come kind of infection, either that or he had a little wind ;)
