Meet Freddie!

His owner had to leave the country and he had been passed around a little bit since, but to keep a long story short...I have taken him in and he will be staying with me

Unfortunately this fluffy little boy appears to have not been handled much before and has not only given me a couple of hard bites, but also he has 'the look' that he gives me to say LEAVE ME ALONE! :lol: But I am more than happy to go at his pace with trying to tame him and for now I think he is just pleased to be in a better cage!

He moved in to a mini duna today from the not so great cage that he came in. I do have a spare zoozone 1 but I didn't want to stress him out too much and I thought changing his surroundings was enough to deal with, without increasing the cage size.

Despite not being keen on being handled and occasionally giving me what can only be described as an angry stare, Freddie also pulls off the cute look and let me take some lovely photos of him today :D

I have decided to keep his cage nice and simple while he settles in and while I start taming him, he had a big explore when he moved in and seems to quite like his new things :)

Lovely little Freddie. When he huddles up to eat I just know he looks just like a round fuzzy cotton ball with feet, my absolute, favorite sight!! :-D I love his new home.

He`s a cutie with attitude! :mad: I find that cranky hamsters do settle down with the `hands-off` approach and patience. It`s as if they soon realise that they are, `in a better place` than before.

Wow, congrats Nikki, he is adorable! I love that scrumptious little furry bum.

I know what you mean about 'the look'. My Marley was very untame when we adopted him, and he quite literally glares at you if a hand comes into his tank. Squints his eyes and stares, then flinches away in a way that really looks like he's having a good old rage. :mad:

Who would argue with a face like that?!!! :mad: I love it when Roborovskis seem to use their eyebrows to give a frown that tells you in more ways than one that they are boss! Russians seem to pull a face that only a mother can love!

Freddie is settling in really well. He isn't keen on being handled at the moment but he takes pumpkin seeds from my fingers and keeps me entertained with his digging in megazorb antics :lol: :lol:

Love that you have taken in another fluffy that I can keep up with. I love hearing about all of your hams:-). Freddie is such a gorgeous ham. I'm sure the bites haven't been fun, but I have to be honest...I <3 that picture of him with his angry sleepy eyes! :-). Can't wait to hear more about him as he settles in.
