Diana 'Thumbelina' was born on April 4, 2013 - and is from my 5th campbells litter. She has five siblings, and is opal.

Tut-Zoo's Diana, also known as 'Thumbelina'

She grew normally with her siblings until she was about 3 weeks old, and I noticed a difference in their weight. Diana weighed only 16 grams, while her siblings weighed between 23-25 grams.

Although I have seen campbell babies weigh 16 grams at that age before, I decided to keep her here due to the difference in weight.

She is today 2 months + 5 days old, and weighs only 21 grams! She has only gained 5 grams in 6 weeks + 3 days.

Her cousin, Charles, who is 6 days younger than her, weighed 28 grams when he was 3 weeks and 4 days old, and now weighs 58 grams. He weighs 37 grams more than little Diana, although he is 6 days younger.

My 1 month + 3 days younger babies are bigger than her.

One of my friends came to visit one day, and she met Diana - she gave her her new nickname, Thumbelina because of her tiny size.

I know there are lots of small campbells, but Diana is not only so tiny, she's also a bit thin (even though it's not so clear on the photos). No matter what I do, she just doesn't seem to grow. Her body just... kind of stopped growing, but her head is still growing a bit, so her head is a bit bigger than her very tiny body, too.

I have never experienced anyone like her, but as long as she seems to thrive, she will stay here with lots of love!

Thank you! I'm prepared that there may be something wrong with her - sadly.

Some time ago, I bought two sisters, and one of them did not grow normally (she was a little bigger than Thumbelina), and she passed away due to organ failure before she was 6 months :-(

She is adorable and, like the old saying goes...good things come in small packages. I identify with Thumbelina since I'm only 4' 8" tall :-D. Thumbelina was my most favorite doll years ago because it felt and moved like a real baby. Great name!
