Jasper Aka Blob

My handsom little hybrid boy. He was a present to myself after starting my new job. As soon as I saw him I had to have him. I had never seen a black dwarf and was just smitten with him <3 His nickname is Blob because it took me ages to find a name for him and thats what my friend called him, and it nearly stuck! :rolleyes:

Its a Mini Duna (though i'm sure you recognised it) the wheel it comes with is crap so ripped it out and replaced it with a more suitable sized and silent wheel, and yes its on the stand that comes with it. Not only is the wheel MUCH better I think it gives more space in the cage to. Though I am looking to upgrade at some point once our house move is out of the way next weekend...Eeeek!!

Oh my gosh Pinkchi, he is utterly adorable! You are really lucky to have found a black dwarf, their really difficult to get hold of! I don't think I've ever seen one in any pet shop I've been to. You have an absolute stunner there, I don't blame you for snapping him up, if I'd have seen him, I'd have nabbed him on the spot too! Some opportunities are too good to miss, black dwarfies being one of them:p.

Untill I saw him I hadn't seen a black dwarf either! I was all like 'OMG is that hamster black?!' when I first saw him. He was such a tiny little baby black 'blob' to <3
My friend kept telling me he wanted to come home with me...and well.....he did shortly after :D

I've had him for 9mths and i've not seen another one in that time and we sell alot of them. We did also have pied Robos in once which were amazing but i've not seen any of those since either xx

Yes Silver, I really wouldn't use any other wheel except a karlie bogie or similar. I also took the ramp out and use a variety of apparatus for him to get onto the shelf so its more of a challenge/climb for him and a bit more stimulating.

Naming is so hard! That's why I keep a list of hoarded names that I randomly come across, because I will usually forget them when I actually need them. I have 2 lists- boys and girls. :)
