Theoretically it's fine as it is. However, I found my Robo struggled with the larger pieces (it has a lot of large nuggets in) and I didn't like that it didn't have much variety. Mine's definitely a fan of seeds and smaller pieces, and not of larger nuggets.

Burgess dwarf hamster harvest is a good food that is available in P@H, if you want to add something to the HH for more variety. You can also add bird seed if you want (although watch out for the fat content, loads of them are really high in fat).

Why are you worried about the protein content?

To be honest, I did some reading around recently, and I wouldn't worry about 17% protein (I think that's what the Burgess dwarf is, off the top of my head). But yeah, a couple of weeks ago I was browsing a German-written food article -- they make a lot of their own food over there, and the page I was reading was talking about aiming for nearer 15% protein than the 19% Harry Hamster has. High protein can cause strain on kidneys in older hams, too. I've taken the approach recently that variety is better than trying to get exact percentages. My two are currently on a mix consisting of three different hamster mixes and a bird seed mix, which they seem to be doing well on.

I bought HH for my robos, but they're not really keen on it. Most of it was still left next day. I went and got some burgess dwarf. They're eating a bit more, but still not all of it.
I'm also giving them budgie seed

My Robo is on a combination of HH, Selective Science Pellets and JR Farm Feast for Dwarf Hamsters. I break up the SS Pellets and the bigger bits of the HH so he can manage them.
I use the HH as it's a good mix, the SS Pellets so I know if he eats those he's getting a good balance and the JR Farm Feast as it has lots of small seeds in :)

I had the opposite -- I was surprised how much my Syrian drank (and peed!) when I first got her, because I was used to my Robo ;) It's just a desert hamster thing :)

Mine are all on HH and have been since birth, they don't seem to struggle at all with the size of the pieces from when they come out the nest at four weeks old. It's often just finding what is right for you and your hams, I had P@H, then P@H premium, then Burgess, then settled finally on HH :)

My robos both love HH and have no problems with it.
