honey,s litter have their eyes open at last, will post piccies later.
had a little check over them today, im no expert, but i did,nt see any nipples on them :cry: but i have homes for males, so no worries there, was wanting to keep a daughter though.

Ooooh looking forward to piccies - what colours are they? In my experience, once they've got fur, it's not easy to see nipples on the girls and that's not a reliable way of sexing them.

I was worried about this too but it's actually pretty easy once they get to about 3 weeks, I just checked and double checked every day until I was certain, although the boys are pretty umistakeable!

there seems to be 4 cinnies and 1 banded, not sure if its cinnie, looks like a dark dulll cream, the cinnies look a bit lighter than mum, but have the grey undercoat
when looking for the nipples, do you have to look through the fur or will they be noticle without moving the fur around?
just waiting on camera battery to charge, then i,ll post them asap

Oh they are just adorable :lol: You must be so proud. Honey has done a great job and they look very mischievious :wink: I think you have some long hairs there. Were the parents LH? Even if they were not you can still have LH if they both carry it. The banded one looks LH. Keep the photos coming please. :lol:

they all looked the same lenght to me, but now looking at the piccies i can see what you mean, at what age would i know for definate if he was long haired?
yes im very very proud of honey, we had a cuddle today, seems like ages since we had one and ive been amazed at the baby,s developments.

You can usually tell with the males earlier than the females. Maybe three and a half weeks for sure but the more litters you see them the easier it is. I think the band is LH and possibly the cinny sort of standing high on its feet! :lol: (7th down that one may be a girl) The band looks maybe male LH. I am likely totally wrong. :oops: Any idea on sexes yet?
Think dad was a cinny band or RE cream band or poss BE cream band carrying cinny. Last one is least likely.

there could of been 2 dads, one i never met and then our benny who is rec banded, going from the mating dates (4 days apart)
if she gave birth on her exact due date, then benny,s the dad.
i checked for nipples, there was,nt any and there privates :x seem to look the same at the mo, but when they were just born im sure i saw one set of niples.

I can't tell ILMH. Its just that I think those two may be long hairs and as the banded one looks to have longer hair than the other that one is more likely to be a boy as long haired boys get longer first in my experience. They may not be. I'm just guessing from looking at the coats. we shall see if I'm right :wink: I would say Benny is the definitly the dad as you have a band there. :lol: They are not easy to sex at this age especially when they are wiggly. All will be clear at 3-4 wks. :wink:

They are all absolutely gorgeous. A fine litter of chubby pups there. It makes me broody for pups of my own :wink: I'm sure there will be no trouble finding homes for such beautiful babies, you must be very proud.

thanks :x i had another look at there bits and i can see a difference between them, will leave it another week, before i take note of who,s what :x
they were all on the wheel yesterday :x and are very lively round the cage now.
can you over feed baby hammies? as the bellies look like there going to burst :o
