I know bonio bones are good treats for hamsters but can you use Winalot bones? They're normally in a box and have different shapes like houses, hearts etc? Ill find a link so someone could maybe look at the ingredients?

They're the ones but I buy a smaller quantity so they come in a box.

Yes the ingredients look ok,

Basically any dog biscuit without Onion or lots of sugars is good

Ahh brilliant thank you! Would it be best to cut it up or should I just put a whole biscuit in. I'm hoping hell nibble it rather than attempt to pouch it all haha. Also, what's classed as 'too much sugar'

Aww I want to go prod him now so I can watch him but ill be kind and let him sleep. Can't wait until he's awake to give him a biscuit. Not sure the dog is going to be happy though haha. Thank you :D

Oh also, a personal question for you! Is there anyway I can buy your banana mix without going through ratrations? If I have to then I don't mind but I only wanted to get a small bit for now to see if he likes it but because of postage it's going to cost me £6.69 :(

Only Ratrations I'm afraid at the moment

They do small 250g sizes I think.

Ahh ok.

Yeah that's the one I was going to get but the postage makes its quite expensive for such a small amount :( oh well, hopefully he will like it and I can get a bigger bag next time :)

Our Syrians pouch the mini Bonios & it looks a bit alarming - amazing how big their pouches are :). Monty our Chinese carries them around like a little dog carrying a really big bone - very funny to see :D

I am going to try the big Bonios for the Syrians next time to see what they do then! No way they can pouch the big ones anyway ;)

It makes me laugh when they're carrying something in their mouth but its tht big for them they're walking around with their heads up and treading carefully, just as we would carrying a large box or something hehe. Funny little things :) are the milk bones suitable too?

Oh and malt wheats. Am I able to give them or are they too sugary?

I don't know what ingredients they have.

But if there is sugar then I would not feed them.

It's these ones..

Buy Tesco Malt Wheats (750g) online in Tesco at mySupermarket* (http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/tesco-price-comparison/Breakfast_Cereals/Tesco_Malt_Wheats_750g.html)

I would not because sugar is the second on the list means that it's the second highest ingredient

LOL

If you look at the top left of the forum you will see Wiki click on that & from the list you will find safe foods

That has the main ones on there

Brill thank you! I've just given him a fusilli and I don't know whether he was playing with it or attacking it but he was chucking it about ad then clawed it and ran away :(

So I gave him a Winalot bone. He can't even walk with it hahah! So I've put it on the floor and he's gnawing on it :)

Bit worried about the pasta though. Maybe it was sharp and hurt him? :(

Just a quickie Silver, would you think about having a free website (like Weebly.com) as an online shop with your mixes on?

I have been looking into ideas.

But at the moment my health is not good enough to be able to do this.

Who knows what the future holds.

Can I just ask re dog biscuits please.
I have bought my dog some Wilkinsons own crunchy mini biscuit bones, milky flavour - can I give them to my hammies? Composition wise all it says is cereals, oils and fats, minerals, milk and milk derivatives (0.5%)

Thanks x

I saw those on Monday and checked the ingredients as they're a really good price, and also saw nothing wrong with the ingredients.
