Smartie's litter of 5 little boys will be 3 weeks old tomorrow. Whilst we are very sad to have lost so many of the litter (at least 11 babies which is pretty devastating), the remaining five are lovely and all doing well:

My REC, who's on the small side right now but that can change!

The BEC who is HUGE with a nice face and, since he turned out to be a boy, was without a home is now also staying here:

The biggest Sable who is going to Will's best friend Josh:

The second Sable who I think is a Satin:

The smallest Sable who also may be Satin:

Finally some newly cleaned out cage piccies:

Aww they look great too. I think you and Will find them irrestistable too and no wonder. All boys for Smartie I notice. She is looking lovely too and should be proud of the great job she has done.

aww an absolutely delicious litter Holly - I think you better feed up that little REC boy, cause by the looks of things today he may have a girlfriend born on Sunday with any luck

Tell Josh I love his sable too, it will be nice for him to enter the main show, as long as he still brings Sootie for pets for a hug! :D

It seems strange that it is only three weeks ago the roller coaster ride that was your two litters started doesn't it? And yet on the other hand it only seems like yesterday. Both girls have really done you proud :D

Thanks for all the nice comments! We are very proud of these five little survivors.

We do find them irresistable - all of them!

Smartie is looking pretty tired right now but she's maintined her weight and solidity much better than Molly who seems to be drained of all fluid - I guess that's because she's feeding twice as many little ones.

Eeeps! They are so adorable Holly, it must be such a pleasure watching the little ones grow and then handling them at this age. Thanks for sharing the pictures so we can all appreciate the cuteness :D They look great. Its to bad I'm all the way in the US, many of the hamsters I see over seas there in the UK as so beautiful, and the generally seem larger then ours

Thanks guys! The little one in this litter isn't a "true runt" (unlike Oodie in my other litter) and he does seem to be right up there with the other guys despite his small stature, bless him

I wish you were nearer, Snuggleham - I'd love a baby of mine to go to a home like yours!

and the generally seem larger then ours

Now that's an interesting point, but not one I can provide any answers for!

They look absolutely adorable, Holly - I'm a massive fan of your Sables, as well you know - and I think you and Will can be very proud of your efforts :)
