View Full Version : Is she pregnant?

Okay then folks, your chance to play fortune teller for me.
Our beautiful girl Butterbean and the lovely boy Dubaku were mated 12 days ago. I'm just not convinced she is 'with child(ren)' although it may be a smallish litter.

Butterbean is a LH REC and Dubaku is a LH satin BEC who should be carrying cinnamon, and both have done well showing (until dubs rubbed all his neck hair away) and have the most gorgeous laid back temperaments so I'm looking forward to a lovely litter.

What do you think then - is she? or isn't she? Are there two blue lines or one?

Re water wings Souffle - she does seem to have them a little, but also she did have a peanut in her mouth lol - good sign is though, that I noticed some very prominent rows of nipples when she stood up! :D [/quote]

I have a good feeling about Butterbean, she has that 'look' in her eye and she does look curvy to me.

She sure looks it to me - what does she look like today?

Hoping she is - for you obviously, as you want her to be - but a little REC girlie coming my way would be just too good

well apart from being incredibly lazy (most unlike her) BB has come out for a wander around her cage before popping back to bed. I'm fairly certain we have baby BBs (or BBBBs  )

I will try to take a photo later to see what you all think. Oh and sorry for the delay in responding to you Holly - somehow Imissed your post :?

Well behaviour has been strange today - she has been very restless and has cleared an area of the cage of megazorb totally and laid there (but it has been incredibly humid here today)

Nothing up to about half an hour ago though she is currently in her nest and buried.

When she does pop her head out she seems to look at me as though to say "what have you done to me?"

Hopefully it will be soon as I will find it very hard to sleep especially as she does seem so so uncomfortable bless her.

Thanks for asking Holly x

sorry guys - back at work (boo hiss) but left early tonight to check on her. She's on the nest and not coming out so I am guessing we have pups, but can't be certain.

I do hope she has had them, otherwise I will be worrying about her. I can see quite a bit of movement from her in the nest, so maybe she is giving birth now (though I thought that yesterday afternoon lol)

Will let you know as soon as she tells me! :D

YAY we have babies! :x
Butterbean just came out to go to the loo, and covered the nest fairly well, but I could just spy two little scrumptious wrigglies in the nest. No idea if there are more or if she is still in labour, but at least I can now say, without a shadow of a doubt that she was indeed pregnant! :x

Thanks everyone, I am delighted, and hopeful that there may be more than two (but of course just one would be a bonus). Older Mums often have smaller litters apparently, so we may not have 13, but as long as we have a lovely Butterbean baby to carry on her good looks and lovely nature I will be happy.
and it has certainly cheered me up no end, I can tell you! :x
