Well I'm still unsure as to whether baby Zelo is a purebred winter white or not, so I'm just going to put him in the hybrid section. Either way he's so adorable XD

This is Zelo and he's now about 5 weeks old and it chock full of energy!
This is going to be his official thread full of pics and updates about him ^^

12/09/12 - New baby Zelo's safe arrival
15/09/12 - First taming session went well, to be honest I was still very nervous since my last dwarf was a menace, (but i loved him) but set out the play pen and put in his wheel and got him out. I just left my hand on the floor with some mealworms (he loves way too much) on my palm and after a while he came over and sat on my hand and stuffed them in his pouches XD Only did like a 5mins ses this time cause I ran out of treats and he was beginning to look a little frantic, but all in all a good first attempt :D

His name? XD well long story short if you google his name this asian kid (korean) comes up, he's the youngest in boy group I like, he's also one of the best rappers for his age. I used his name because the real Zelo's hair is currently white with a mohawk-like stripe, just like hammy Zelo XD they are also both full of energy XD

16/09/12 Taming session ep2
Well to be honest today wasn't so good, he was very nippy today, first when I left my hand outside the cage door with a snack on it he decided to nibble my hand instead so I got him out using his saucer wheel, then I managed to get him to sit and eat treats on my hand again but when he ran off and I put on more treats he decided to nibble my hand again. I'm thinking it may have been because he was rather hyper when I got him out today, he's been up and down all day today. The nip doesn't seem to be an angry bite but he was chomping on the carpet, on everything in the play pen, maybe his mood was a bit off or something, oh well try again tomorrow.

It still surprises me how different every hamster is, Zelo's now quite territorial about his home, he tends to "shout" at me if I disturb him from what he was doing, we've done a quite a few more shout taming sessions and he seems less nippy now, however I've taken to wearing gloves for the time being till he used to it. We also recently got him a ball and he's been racing around in it. ^^

Sounds like you are making headway with him.

Some hams just need more time then others to settle into handling & some can be a little cross about you being in there home, & settle down once out.

Been a while since I've updated but here's a lil antic baby Zelo got up to while I as at college today :D came back and turns out he 'd moved all his bedding from his bottom level house up two levels to the top XD must have taken all day lol

For a while I couldnt figure out why he'd done it but then I suddenly remembered and checked the house he'd pulled it from, turns out he's started using it soley as a food store and moved into his other bed as his sleeping quarters. What a hard life eh? XD
Anyways moved all the bedding in that pic to the bed he's actually using, hopefully it'll be how he wants it now XD

Haha zelo turned into a chunky monkey, he's now 1yr and a bit :) excuse the mess everytime I clean out the seeds and change his food he kicks it all out his bowl *le sigh*

Thank you :) however he can be a wolf in sheeps clothing sometimes, he's a right snatcher, only time he doesnt grab food outta my hand is when he's just woke up, boy steals stuff like I starve him or something, cheeky little thing!
