And it's undamaged!!! :D ZooPlus actually packaged it OK, not the best but at least they didn't shove the wire top unside down into the base like they did with Luna's Hamster Heaven.

I'm quite pleased with it to be honest, although the door is small I can fit my hand in and reach all through the cage. I've decided against attatching the Combi 1 to it, at least for the moment (still considering turning it into a giant sand bath).

Hobbes was moved into his Kios this afternoon - he was in his house so I picked that up (he had a great big sniff of my hand lol) and put it into the Kios. He soon came out and so far he's explored half the cage (don't think he realises there's even more space for him) and seems really happy in there. Bit nervy but then that's understandable. He's fallen asleep inside the Puzzle Playground thing lol.

It's a bit bare at the moment but I'm still figuring out what to get him, it will soon be full of hidey holes, shelves, ladders, ledges and tunnels.

Here's a photograph -

I've got a video of him in there uploading at the moment, will post it when it's done.

Thanks :D (put up a different pic, my camera played ball, sort of lol)

I kinda wish I had put a bit more substrate in there to be honest, can always add more when I clean it out though I suppose.

The orange house will be going as soon as I get him another one. Plan on getting him a wooden one without a base. Or maybe one of those wicker teepee houses, or a coconut house. Or all three. Hmm.

Here's the video :) He does spend most of it in the Puzzle Playground mind >.<

I hope so :D

This is a picture of the Combi base (rest was still drying) on top, sideways on, really shows just how small the Combi is -

Might get Luna to model the Combi later ;)

I know :( The length of the Combi isn't even anywhere near the width of the Kios :(

Hehehehe! He is :D Except when he's nibbling on my fingers that is

That's what I'm going to do with this one, fingers crossed we won't ever need it but it's good to have one, just incase. The one I have is much too small for Luna really so having this is great.

Get Luna in it and show us the combi 1 size in comparision to a full grown Syrian :)

I want a combi 1 as a Syrian travel cage for when I get a Syrian. I am not willing to spend the amount they charge for it on one though :/ It's like £25 on most sites...

Fwirl has modelled a combi 1 before for anyone interested :)

I'm glad you seem happy with the Kios and that its all in one piece and that Hobbes seems to like it :D

The Kios looks great. :) The Combi does look as though it would make a great side addition if you did want to add the sand area? Maybe put a few natural pebbles in too as a stepping stone near the opening?! :)

They're in her thread somewhere in the syrian bit, but assuming SS won't object to it...

Fwirl and a combi 1, the only pic of her and the entire cage

The rest of her combi 1 photos are on page 5 of her thread here (http://www.hamstercentral.com/community/syrian-hamster/27788-fwirls-thread-5.html)

That combi cage really is tiny :( It's kind of sad that these sized cages are marketed as suitable dwarf hamster cages.

The college which I have left now, specialised in Animal care and they had a room called 'the rodent room'. They had this cage in it, and until I became a Hanster fanatic I didn't really notice it, but then when we got our girls, I thought the size of this little cage was horendous, even compared to the mini duna!! The worst part is, they weren't keeing one dwarf in it... It was Mum, Dad, one quite mature litter and one litter not even a month old. I'm not exagerating. It was heartbreaking.

We bought our two second hand as carry cases. I like knowing that those are two more not going back into full-time cage use.

SS - Has Hobbes discovered the rest of his space yet? How's he coped changing from something as small as the combi?

Oh my, she looks huge in there >.< Got a video of Luna in it, will upload it later!

Sam - Yup he has :D He seems to have settled in OK, he's even seeming slightly more confident. He let me put my hand right next to him yesterday and once he realised I had a mealworm he took it. Then later on he went right up to the bars to say hello to my OH :D

He hasn't spent as much time on his wheel and seems to like climbing on stuff - caught him sat on top of the grass ball house thing, then he tried to climb on top of his house but slipped and fell off lol. Silly hamster.

He's spending a lot of time inside the Puzzle Playground, sleeping, washing etc. I managed to clean his house for the first time last night and oh my it stank! I did put it back in there but only because I haven't got him another one yet and if I left it out there would be a big open space in the middle which I don't think he would be happy with.

All in all, he seems to love all the space :D

Here's a video of Luna in the Combi. Sorry it's such bad quality :/ It was dark, my camera is pants and Luna being black makes it even harder!

The little madam wouldnt sit still long enough for me to turn the camera on, that's why she's on the back of my hand when I put her in there! I scattered some puffs to keep her interested :)

There is cruel, and then there is that cage. It might make an okay 'I'm sick (or have just had surgery) and need rest for a few days' cage for a lone dwarf, or a nice sized travel cage for a Syrian, but as a Permanent Home? No WAY!

Awww, I'm glad he's happy :)

And we use ours as carry cases primarily for the hybrids actually. They're hybrid travel cages that the syrians borrow if we're going to a show and don't want to borrow the robo dunas for some reason.
