hi all!

introducing wonton, i picked him up from gumtree. he was 6 months old, unwanted and had no name! i've had him for around 4 months now. he's a little chubby at the moment, i think i need to start limiting the amount of seeds he eats! he's absolutely lovely and a joy to own :D:D

could i get your expert opinions - does he look like a hybrid? i have no idea where he came from (previous owners didn't say, just called him 'russian'). i think he is hybrid...

what a cutie! I approve of the name :D to me, he just looks like my sister's pure WW, but if the previous people didn't know that and called him 'Russian' then I would assume he is a hybrid from like P@H or something, as they label their hybrids only as 'Russians'.

Such a gorgeous man :)
I would assume hes a hybrid as most pet shops sell hybrids. His colour and body shape look very much like a winterwhite, but his facial features look like a campbells (ww's tend to have a broader head, campbells have a more pointy nose)

thanks for the responses everyone :)

fluffy - that's exactly what i think about him. shape and colour, ww but face, campbell's.

i hope he doesn't suffer any problems due to his genetics.

Having just had my first pure C & had/have pure WW's. The nose is so different from each species it is very hard to see in pictures but in RL they have totally different head shapes.

WW's tend to have more of a separate head & the C's seem to have there head built onto there body's more with a tiny pointy nose

Like a miniature tiny weeny hedge hog nose :p
