This is Pepper's new ZZ2 set up. I've tried to make it as interesting as possible for him using the stuff I have in my house and in his cage:

The ZZ2 has great space so allows for more adaptions and opportunities. Looking at your set up, I like the way you have a two-tier staging with the floor substrate, but it might also benefit from having a natural wooden shelving at one end? Something Pepper can hide under and also use as a look out post! I adapted a wooden guinea pig shelter and sawed the four legs down to suit a robo`s small size. Rocky`s sand bath sits on it and he also loves to dive under it and have a dig. :)

I have a Gabber Rex tank/cage but it still gives me room to add shelving and use the space. Have ou looked at some of the German websites/forums for some inspiration? They use things like natural logs, wood and cork tunnels, reptile accessories like ceramic rock pool pots for sand and various other goodies. If you have a cardboard eggbox, cut off one of the central turrets and a door in each end. I have a pile of eggboxes that I bought from a chicken website when I had my mice and they make great mouse and hamster toys!

You could also adapt a plastic drinks bottle with funky pebbles inside for a water bottle stand. Lots of members do this now as a second water source and it works really well.

Thanks for the advice, @racinghamster - it's really useful!

@Arraminta - I saw your thread, really good ideas, I especially love the one about changing the hay rack to a shelf.
