Is it okay to stack cages?

At the moment I have a Igor and a zoozone 1 separately but I may be adopting a couple of new hams soon - I will be getting a shelving unit for three cages, but was wondering if I could stack a mini-duna on top of my Igor? They currently have a blanket between them (due to the drop in temp) but would just have cardboard in the summer between them.

It should be ok. Just make sure it isn't bending the Igor or anything, and maybe put some wood between them rather than cardboard as wood could help spread the weight a bit more.

It doesn't seem to be - but ill put a plain piece of wood underneath too :)

I should have a sep. wall shelf for it soon though :)

I stack mine sometimes and it seems ok, I check it for bending every so often.

Cool :)
As long as it doesn't bend I'm sure it'll be fine. Is also nice it'll have a separate wall shelf eventually though. We finally built our ham shelves yesterday (they arrived on Tues) and I'm still a bit too happy about the final room rearrangement lol
It leaves floor space and I missed said floor space way more than I knew. (It was hard to find shelves for the ZZ2s and Ferplast Mary, so it took a while and we weren't delaying the robo cage upgrades just so we could find and order shelves.)

I think i'm gonna buy this to sit next to my drawers where Rockys cage is- Buy Maine Small Extra Deep Bookcase - Pine Effect at Argos.co.uk - Your Online Shop for Bookcases and shelving. (http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/6092067/c_1/1%7Ccategory_root%7CHome+and+furniture%7C14417894/c_2/2%7C14417894%7CStorage+and+shelving%7C14417975/c_3/3%7Ccat_14417975%7CBookcases+and+shelving%7C144179 82.htm)

I can take out the middle shelf, stick Apollo's Zoozone on the bottom, hammy treats etc on the top and a mini-duna on the top, and I could always alter the top shelf myself to fit another mina duna in :)

lol makes sense :)
We needed bigger than that recently so have giant shelves now. They do hold ZZ2 cages nicely though. So now we have a bookcase for ham food and such, the giant shelves, our chest of drawers with Scamps hamster heaven on it, some argos shelves for some of Scamps rotastak and her bin on the floor. They get like... The entire side of our room but it works and the shelves all store some of our stuff too.

Er... Having just realised that we have that bookcase for ham treats and food, maybe double check the width of everything before buying? I'd find the bookcase too thin for a mini duna I think (and for a zoozone).
These (short (http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/6095150/c_1/1|category_root|Home+and+furniture|14417894/c_2/2|14417894|Storage+and+shelving|14417975/c_3/3|cat_14417975|Bookcases+and+shelving|14417982.htm ), tall (http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/6095167/c_1/1|category_root|Home+and+furniture|14417894/c_2/2|14417894|Storage+and+shelving|14417975/c_3/3|cat_14417975|Bookcases+and+shelving|14417982.htm )) work brilliantly for the duna cages and should be fine for a ZZ1, but don't look as nice I'm afraid :(
Its the tall ones we have for Scamp and I really like them. Cheap, strong enough and good. Just a bit of a pest to build sometimes is all.
