She's about 4 months old, and has been in the RSPCA all her life, so she hasn't been handled much... her mum was nice and tame, so I think it will just be a matter of letting her get used to it :D

She is absolutly adorable. Lucky her and lucky you. What a great thing to do in adopting her. She is a Golden banded probably long haired by the look of the tufts!

Congratulations and well done on taking in a rescue. She is a truly beautiful girl, and I'm sure you will have lots of fun together. She already looks as though she is enjoying her new home!

She is lovely, Faye - really a beauty - and she couldn't have found a nicer home - what a fab cage set up she's got, I expect she can't believe her good fortune :)
I'm sure you'll soon have her nice and tame and trusting.

Nice to know how old she is and a little of her background I do like this when I get a rescue and usually these "chez history" hamsters are easier to rehome.
She looks lovely and I am sure with patience she will come round to the handling eventually - she picked the right woman for the job - good luck and I love her cage setup, bet she does too.

Awwh, lovely, bet you and she/he won't regret it :D
Too cute - love the colour. Home looks fab - hope setting in happens quickly and you get a snuggle soon.

Awwww shes lovely Faye. My Luna was around the same age when I rescued her.... its great to see him/her in the fab new home. Well done and congrats on the new addition! :D
Thanks guys - I'm smitten!
I've had her out a couple of times for a few minutes at a time and she's behaving herself :D
She's a little skittish, but no biting or bolting etc.

great news
keep up the good work
and don't be scared if she does give you a nip she doesn't mean it maliciously
I am sure you don't need told take it slow and steady and you will get a happier, friendlier hamster in the end.
