i dont know if anyone has tryed this but my hammies love brussel sprouts.

my hamsters love them raw and cooked :-)

Our old guys do also - now they are back in season I'll have to try the babies with them as well. I think they like them cooked (no salt) even more than raw!

I know you can feed them to hamsters however, I am sceptical about this as I know it has a possibility to cause a blockage in the hamster's digestive tract likewise as lettuce and cabbage does.

we feed ours brussels sprouts and cabbage, with no problems. The hams love them and I've not heard anything about them causing blockages before. We only do this as a treat along with their other 'supplementary foods'.

I don't feed lettuce as the high water content means that the hams can easily get diarrhoea.

I agree with Teresa - brussel sprouts and cabbage are fine, lettuce isn't such a great idea as it can easily lead to diarrhoea. Where did you hear about them causing "blockages"? If anything it'd be the opposite - diarrhoea if fed in excess.
