There aren't any Northern shows on there - are there any Northern dates confirmed yet?

We'll make it to several of the Midland shows and we are definitely planning to be at Bradford :) .....and two of my work friends who've got one of our babies (named Elmo!) want to start showing her as well!

Lymm, Willington and Kingswinford for me. i'm assuming Lymm will be on of course, as it's so popular! i'm gutted that the midlands have cut out great barr cos i thought it was a good show and it's only an hour away for me, where the other midland shows are "southern" in my world

I'm actually quite lucky, for me there is Highworth, Alcester, Monmouth, North Somerset, Bath, Bowood House, Weston Super Mare, Kingswinford and Shurdington!

The Northern dates haven't been added yet I suppose maybe they haven't had their AGM or something?

there was a lot more shows for me this year because i didn't work weekends and i could take holds whenever i wanted. for the next two years i can only take hols during certain weeks. if i'm down to work a saturday/sunday i can't book a hol, which is pretty rude! thid year i booked a weekend away to make sure it was on the same weekend as a show
There'll be more shows for me in 2 years :D

me! willington is one of my closest ones, along with Lymm. just an hour away :D
i read in the journal that it lost money last time, so i really hope it doesn't get cancelled. One of my other closest ones, great barr was cancelled. I'll be sure to buy lots of raffle tickets

The Nothern list should be out soon. They are waiting to confirm bookings of some of the venues. I can confirm that Brockholes will be on 19th April though!

Is there much competition for the pet section in Highworth? And how long do the shows last?

Bunsey

the shows last around 10am - 4pm, but if you're only entering pets, you only need to be there about 1:30pm - 2:30pm

Highworth is quite a popular show, I think from memory there was at least 8 syrian pet entries last time. I show in the main show and in pets as I only have a few hammies and I put them in pets because they are all tame :)

Could I confirm that I bring the cage for the pets section? I would like too

Yep you can :) If it's massive it might be a better idea to bring a carrier though ;)

Yes sammysmum you can either bring your pet in its usual cage or a travelling box. The only thing with cages is that some judges like to judge the pets without the owners present and if the ham has stuck himself in a tube or small house they often cannot get them out. I myself have judged pets and trying to get 3 robos out of a rotastack is shall we say 'a challange' Some judges do like to see cages and others like to talk to the owners so it varies a lot.
If we show in pets we have a plastic box from the pound shop with holes in the lid to transport our hammies in (it is nicely done out!) I am sure he will be fine whatever you choose.

When the schedules are published they usually have instructions and routes on how to get there.

yeah, it's weird how you can live in the midlands, yet a lot of the Northern shows are closer!
