Hi guys!
It just came to my attention, but do Robos bury at all? If you were to give your robo lots of subract, would he/her bury at all?
Bury also known as Dig.

Do you mean dig?

Yeah, Munchkin loves to dig. :) He has a few inches of Megazorb at one end of his cage for digging.

Some do, and some don't I have found. I made Dasher a big digging area and he just sat on top of it eating. Daisy likes to dig and burrow under everything she can. I find they're like people, they all like different things :D

I think all dwarf hamsters like digging to some extent, versus syrians. Dora loves digging, so I give her a nice deep corner. Leela's more about running around, but she really does love her large wooden corner house that I have buried under a pile of bedding.

Oh yes. my girls love to dig. They've yet to make any structured burrows like syrians tend to do, but they have a blast burrowing down for fun. :)

My robos dig and make structured burroughs. They also bury their toys under all their bedding, so I have to be really careful on cage cleaning day to sift through for all their things :)

Also, is it possible for robos to get wettail?

I was under the impression that they can't, but a quick google suggests they can. Hmmmmmmm you can read anything on the internet though. I've never heard of one getting it.

I believe that they don't actually get wettail, but they can get a similar illness with similar symptoms. I also dont think it's as common as wettail is. But, I could be wrong, I'm not a robo expert! :)

I also read that it's a syrian-specific illness and dwarf hamsters shouldn't get it.

my two love digging.... have a deep area for them to do so and they love it. thought wet tail Syrian species specific, but think there something "similar" in dwarves.
