Today I went to my first ever Midland show - well it wasn't a show as such but a display at a large craft fair near Stroud, Gloucestershire. I went to meet Gill (Basia) and collect Minnie (for those who don't know Gill and I are "trading" one hamster from our litters - I now have a beautiful SH sable named Minnie and Gill will get her SH Cream in the next couple of weeks).

I really enjoyed Gatcombe - there were a few familliar faces (Jean Tye) from Northern Shows I've been to and lots of familliar "names" from the hamster world - we've met Pete and Chris Logsdail, Rosie Ray and Sue (Bourne Valley Hams)....all were absolutely lovely with lots of good advice. I came away with "face ache" from laughing so much!

The boys and I are planning to go to Kingswinford on 1st December - it's the Christmas party - will anyone else be going??

yes, i'llbe at kingswinford. it was brilliant last year. it was my very first show and it gave me such a great impression of the hamster showing community. we came away with harvey! can't believe we've only had him 11 months!

It was a good day wasn't it, great to meet you and Plankton and know my babies are going to such lovely people. Also enjoyed talking to Jean, Sue, etc. so patient and helpful and of course I got Balou too. Good day all round. :D
If Aston Villa/Arsenel match is re-scheduled, and they quite often are but not this time I bet, I will definitely be coming to Kinswinford.

It was great to meet you, too - and Leanne, she is lovely, isn't she? :) ...also your hubby really impressed me - he was far better behaved than the "bloke" I usually bring with me (Will :P ).

Bunsey, see you at Kingswinford (though I think you'll be at Lymm first, won't you?)

Aww thanks very much Julie :) It was lovely to meet yourself and Gill, I am very much taken with both of the ones I bought back, am still trying to completely figure out who is who but I am kind of sure the right one is in the Imac. Whichever one it is, eats like a horse!

Yes, I'm so happy that one of my baby's now belongs to Leanne. Any names yet?

What's he like sneaking off to get chips though? He secretly loves hamsters 8)

Leanne - she can probably hardly believe she has a bowl of food all to herself at last! The cream roans were slightly smaller than the others for ages but the last few days have grown such a lot they have caught up/overtaken their littermates. (Except for Pudding & Gizmo who are so lazy they grow in their sleep).
