The Russians..well one of them

This is one of a pair of Russian hamsters that I got today. They were rescued by one of the police persons that I work with. The owner was going to drown them. Sadly one of the brothers did not make it.
The pics are of Nish who seems ok. The brother Fable is not yet come out of the bed, but hopefully I will post him soon. This is the first time that I have had russians ( I normally do Chinese dwarfs). If anyone can tell me the colour type it could be apprecitated. The both have red eyes.

Great job rescuing these cuties leigh. They are gorgeous. They look a bit like pale argente campbells. You could try the Midland HC site which has pics of different colours you could compare them to. :lol:

They are indeed red-eyed argentes: I have a pair of female ones :)

I can't believe the person who owned them was going to do something so despicable :( Well done you for taking them in!!

They are really cute - well done you, I find it difficult to believe how awful some people are :(
