You know the stuff that birds eat, well my dwarves all love it and it's such a cheap treat, it's usually sold per kg so I can usually get loads of it for a really good price and the dwarves just nibble on it, both adults and babies.

We also give millet sprays to Sparrow and Turner, our winter whites - they seem to absolutely love them, stripping the spray bare over two to three days and then eating what they've stored. I give one medium sized spray a week and I get them from Wilkinsons.

We also tried them with our three Syrians but they didn't seem interested.

Yeah syrians aren't too keen on them at all, they much prefer a little bit of dry ready brek!!

Bailey my syrian loves millet. Benji wasn't so keen. Haven't tried it with my new girl though.

When I bought it I got 4 sprays for £1.59 from Sainsbury's, but I didn't want to buy tonnes.

Roborovskii love millet spray too though do be careful if you have a wire topped bin cage and you suspend the millet from it as I have had a few guys over the years scale the millet and achieve freedom, despite getting smaller and smaller mesh! so now it just lies on the floor of the cages - it does get a bit fluffy with the litter but they still munch away at it fine. If it isn't finished in the week then just pur it back in the following week after cage clean out, if still not all gone by the following week maybe consider another treat item in future - but hamsters cna be fickle and one month not touch it and then a couple of months later when you give them it again they devour the whole stem in a day!

Definitely get some millet if you have any species of dwarf hamster, maybe try one or two loose peices with a Syrian first before getign too much as they do tend to prefer larger seeds. Baby Syrians eat millet with relish usually though.

If you want you can remove the millet grains from the stalk and add to their food dish and you will be surprised at how quickly it is actually eaten this way (just run your fingers over the stalk and it all falls off relatively easily) - just a tip to use up any stalks you may have in case your hamster doesn't bother with them in that form.
