For some strange reason mayo has started throwing his poo out of the cage.
Is there any particular reason for this or is he jsut being even more lazy?

It's normal. I read it in a magazine

Not lazy - tidy!

Seriously I have had some hamsters who have done this and on observing them it really did seem deliberate. They were keeping their cage tidy whatever they didn't eat they threw out one by one.

On the plus side, you don't have to change the litter quite so often except in the 'wee corner' of course and the poo soon dries up anyway so you can pick it up with your bare hands...

Ha Ha! I remember this problem... :D

I had a hammy called Eric a few years ago and he used to sit on his platform whipping out poo's and throwing them at my wall, and they stuck.... eeew

In the end I had to put a bit of cardboard on the cage where he did it to stop him, dirty boy!!
