Here comes Rein(reign) of Ash :P

I mentioned in a thread of mine that my aunt had bought me a "mini black bear" which I was informed was a Campbells. I had to wait a week before she/he was able to leave the litter. Well Someone bought a litter mate and it got sick, so they brought it back and the owners put it back in the litter. All of the litter mates including the one my aunt hand picked for me got sick. There was no guarantee she/he would live. I was guaranteed to get anew one if it did die but my aunt knows I wouldn't do well with that.

Well they told my aunt they could refund her or she could choose from their "cousins" and here is my new baby, Rein of Ash.
Not entirely sure if she/he is a Campbells but I thought you would help me. Oh and how can I tell a Pure breed? They told my aunt that these were all pure breeds. But i read somewhere pure breeds are hard to come by.

You can't tell for sure if he is pure or not unless you know his parents + Gparents etc etc genetics. He may well look pure campbell's but can still be carrying Winter white genes, so could still be hybrid. (I think)

Aw he's gorgeous! Congrats on a beautiful baby ham - I REALLY hope that nothing bad happens to the little one. I wonder why the breeder thought it would be a good idea to put the sick hamster back in with the others :S Doesn't make sense...

Neither did my aunt, which is why she decided to get me one from another litter. She buys direct from a breeder up in New Hampshire US. Which I would think they'd have the sense to not mix them up, or at least get the little guy to a vet first. I Just hope they take care of the ill hammies and not just let them die. :[
