Rat Cages: great selection at zooplus: Essegi Small Pet Cage Virginia 120 (http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/small_pets/hutches_cages/hamster_cages/hamster_cages/193553)

Its huuuge and the bar spacing is only 11mm so its suitable for hamsters!

the spacing is ok but i would say the height is too much for a hammy, the savic ruffy 2 is a decent rat cage for hammies x

That's a nice cage but I dont think it would be suitable for hamsters.
Some hammies dont like too much space so that may scare them!

I have a freddy 2 max for my mice and I was thinking of getting one for my syrian but he's in a HH and doesn't really get up and play much anymore so I dont think theres much point.
I do think it would make a great home for an active hammy though.

Well, you could add loads of fun stuff in it for them, and few extra shelves, swings, sand baths... the lot!! what a lucky hammies! I'd say go for it if you can afford it! you can make it into a hamster heaven! a wheel, flying saucer, sand bath, paper mache swings and tunnels, even a wooden root or two for hiding their meal worms... so jealous now! ;)

Savic Ruffy 2 is the same size as the HH isnt it? If this is the one you mean - The Pet Express - Savic Ruffy 2 - Navy - £64.99 - Small Animals - Cages (http://www.thepetexpress.co.uk/?p=2_4&pid=15402)

It's not a bad cage, but the price surprised me; I think for that amount I'd go for an elaborate wooden one rather than a cage-style. :)

True, theres some really nice wood ones about, and as has been said, it might be too big. It may make little hammie unsociable ;)

Ya, it's a bit expensive, for that price you could get an enormous tank xD But it's suitable for syrians and huge xD

@alex
Unsociable?What do you mean? xD Sure i wouldn't keep a group in that cage, but one syrian?
All my hamsers are very cuddly in their cages xD
