Please meet my two new Campbells.... I have adopted them from FurryFriends (people who also post on Fancy Rats will know who I mean!) and they are SO CUTE.

This is Justin:

He was found tied up in a plastic bag, in a rubbish bin

This is Frank:

He was handed in to the RSPCA originally.

They arrived on Sunday, all the way from Surrey! They're settling in nicely and have been accepting titbits from me :) I'll be taking it nice and slow with them to get them used to me.

Aww, they are absolutely gorgeous, well done you for doing something good for two little hammies who haven't had the best start in life 8) .

How anyone could do that to Justin is just beyond me - good thing that what goes around definitely comes around : Justin has found you and whoever did that to him will certainly find what they deserve.

You may well be right actually... aww that'll be ace if he is. :D

And yes, I sincerely hope that whoever treated Justin so badly gets what they deserve. No human has the right to dump an animal when the novelty wears off

EDIT: Yep, after a wee peek in the WW forum Frank definitely matches the description!

Thank you: it's nice to know which variety they are :D

I'm not brilliant at identifying all the different types; all I know is that my other pair are Russian Campbells argente... there are so many lovely hammies about and I can see me collecting a few more at this rate. Since I got my others last year I have totally fallen in love with dwarfies.

Could one of the lovely mods/admins please move this to the Winter White forum, seeing as they're not actually Campbells at all? Thank you! :)

I had Justin out properly for the first time tonight 8)

I've been stroking them loads since they arrived, to get them used to my scent but Justin seemed really keen to come out so I made a little blockade so he couldn't go too far, and picked him up out of the cage. he was nervous, but there were no bites and he seemed to trust me, which made me feel all happy

We had a little cuddle and when I put him back he wanted out straight away again  His fur is so so soft.....

Strangely, Frank seems the more nervy one and I was told Justin was the scared one!

To say they had a bad start in life they're quite OK with being touched and generally adored by me :D

I don't think it'll take that long actually  Justin was waiting for me to get home this evening and he wanted out immediately again. I just put my hand near him and he climbed onto it to be lifted out.

Frank may take a wee bit longer but he's quite happy being touched, stroked and having my hand cup round him within the cage.

They really are a pair of sweethearts, and it's beyond me why anyone would hurt them or want to get rid of them.

How could I resist? They're so adorable.

I had to take a few more wee snaps of them eating last night...

Justin choosing to sit IN the food bowl.. he's tiny anyway but this makes him look so small! And yes, he really is all eyes... he has gorgeous eyes :)
