Hi, just though I'd show my handy work (well my design, hubbys handy work!) on our bin cage for our late small syrian Rory, we wanted him to have lots of space to run around but still have a wheel. We got two under bed storage boxes as they provided a large area without too much wasted height. The then incorparated the habitrail ovo suite with the wheel in as it was a perfect sized wheel for him. He loved it :)

hehehe, thanks all. I can't take credit for his name though! I got him from Just for Pets and they'd named him. Its because he had a nice fluffy mane and yawned a lot so it looked like he was roaring! lol. It fit him so well I didn't change it. :)

its not too bad actually. I do it in layers, the habitrail section comes off and the other too its just removing all the bits than then it can be emptied and cleaned. its worth it too to see a happy little face prancing round in thier palace :)

wow that is a fab set up you have there, very lucky hamster to have that as his home.

I tried to do a bin cage once and it was rubbish!

Thanks Purple_x :) We gave it a thorough soaking and once dry, sprayed it with animal disinfectant so get rid of Rory's smell and its now become Smokey's home. He seems to really love it :) It seemed a shame for it to sit empty but its always so hard to see another hamster in a cage that belonged to a hamster that's passed.
I've got some really large pieces of cardboard from work last week so I'm going to have a go at making some toys next weekend!
