It's started!

Hi everyone,

Huxley, Horace & Gizmo have begun to change. :) Horace has some new patches of white on his back, Huxley is lightening up & Gizmo has patches on her face and ears. Not sure if Mabel will lose the little patch of grey on her face not noticed anything yet.

Will see how they progress later this week & will take pictures every other day to show the change. :)

I'm hoping Huxley's change will be as dramatic as John's Gizmo was last year but this being my first Winter with an Agouti WW I'm not sure how he'll end up.

Wow!! How exciting!!

Not sure if Boz is going to change - this will be my first winter with him, dont think he will though - havent noticed anything so far, so it will be nice to see how your little chubsters go! :-)

Actually - now I think about it, Boris di change a bit. I got him in Feb this year, and noticed around March time that he went darker, but put it down to age and maturing . . . hmmm maybe he will change a bit . . . ??

Hope it was about March that Gizmo changed back. I know Boris is a hybrid but he does look more WW. My earlier thread showed the changes last year but Gizmo started on her bum. It's really subtle at first but then within a week it speeds up.

I really want Huxley to change a lot he will look cool! :)

I think Treo may be a little more white but thats it :D He looks mostly campbells anyway!

My hybrid is white already hehe. But I don't think she changes colors? I just got her a few weeks ago... I think she'll be white all year round.

Good question however WW's won't breed from around October through March. :)

That's why my pet shop only gets a few litters a year. He has his last litter in now but there won't be any more until April, I guess that is good in my case!! :mad::mad:

lol that answers my question thanks. i wonder now why they stop breeding around this time? maybe as the body having enough changes.. and yes your hubby can breathe a sigh of relief on the ww front.. but then again do you still fancy a syrian of your own?lol

I would love a Syrian. But for now I am sticking with my three little dwarfies. I think I have my hands full enough for now. :)

Oooh thats interesting Rach, not noticed anything with Boris yet. The cahnge I noticed last year was that the 'waves' down the flanks got darker - more flecked with grey - maybe they will lighten slightly, I will have to keep an eye out.

I just noticed Huxley has patchs that look almost cream above his eyes & a little one on his back. Wouldn't that look gorgeous if he goes cream!!

When i first got Raisin he had a little white patch on his back, and his sides were whiter than usual. i was at a sleepover last night and when i got home in the morning the white patch had got a lot bigger in one night! Really odd :)

Mark that's how quick it can be. Huxley's face is much lighter today and he now has a patch on his bum. I need to get some good clear photos not always easy with Huxley. I'll wait a few more days till their are more patches.

Raisins face is now totally white and his body is loads lighter! I am starting to call him yogurt coated raisin :mad:

I will try and get some pictures up, and Rum hasn't changed! :)

He looks great. :) None of ours have changed much over the weekend. Seems Raisin is changing the same way as Gizmo last year very quickly indeed. :)

Huxley & Horace are being right little uncooperative so & so's tonight.
So Huxley has a big patch on his side now & Horace's face is turning white as well as more patches on his body. Will take some pics tomorrow during the day when they are up mid morning. Better pictures in natural light anyway & they are not as hyper then. :)

I must take some pics of Huxley & Horace tomorrow. He has changed a lot over the last few days. He has patches all over & a lovely set of white eyebrows. There is also some really white patches below his whiskers. Horace is so light now too. :)

Noodles is lightening up a treat too. She was really dark when I brought her home, now she is grey with a very very white belly!
