Hello Everyone http://madabouthamsters.com/forum/images/smilies/smilies/biggrin.gif

So as the title says, i am making a cage!! http://madabouthamsters.com/forum/images/smilies/smilies2/excited.gif i have found the wood for the base, the legs and the lid http://madabouthamsters.com/forum/images/smilies/smilies/thumbup.gif

I am going to cut the wood later on, i have drawn on the measurements that i think are ok for a pair of dwarfs.... but i will check it with you before i cut it http://madabouthamsters.com/forum/images/smilies/smilies/nod_yes.gif
So is 57cm(Width) and 70cm(length) OK?

I will post pictures when i have cut it Ect.

Tomorrow is gonna be my DIY day :D

I am not sure weather to have mesh instead of perspex? Perspex is very pricey... does anyone know any alternatives?

Mesh may lead to chewing but then I have heard of some hammies chewing through perspex too. :(

How would you cut the perspex...?

would you mesh the top if you perspexed it,or just leave it open top?
Perspex will probably look neater but then they might want to climb to mesh, or maybe they'd chew it?

Good luck anyway :D

Looks lovely! Are you going to cut a door in the perspex? My boyfriend and I are currently meshing a cage for our boys, and we're having the worst time with the doors :( Can't wait to see the finished product, and you know I'll post pics showing mine off soon too :)
